Privacy Policy for CookieCaddie

CookieCaddie ("the app," "we," "our") is designed around a simple principle: your cookie cutter designs are yours, and they stay on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.

In short: we do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data. CookieCaddie has no servers, no user accounts, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Everything you create is stored only on your device, and nothing leaves it unless you explicitly export or share it yourself.

Information We Do Not Collect

CookieCaddie does not collect:

Your name, email address, or any other personal or contact information
Location data
Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
Advertising identifiers
Any information at all that is transmitted to us or to any third party

The app contains no network code. It cannot send data anywhere even if it wanted to — there is simply no code path that does so.

Information Stored On Your Device

To do its job, CookieCaddie stores the following locally, in the app's own private storage area on your iPhone or iPad:

Cutter designs you create or import — shapes, text, and the settings used to generate a 3D-printable cutter.
Reference photos you optionally import to trace over. These are accessed through Apple's built-in photo picker, which does not grant CookieCaddie broader access to your photo library — only the specific photo(s) you choose are copied into your design.
App preferences, such as your preferred units (millimeters or inches) and your default cutter dimensions.

None of this is backed up to any server we operate, because no such server exists. If you delete the app, this data is deleted along with it (standard iOS behavior for on-device app data may still include it in your personal iCloud/iTunes device backups, which are controlled by you through Apple's own settings, not by us).

Sharing Your Designs

CookieCaddie lets you export a cutter as a 3D-printable file (STL) or as a CookieCaddie design file (.cookiecutter), and share it using the standard iOS share sheet — for example, to save it to Files, AirDrop it, or send it to a 3D-printing service. That sharing is entirely initiated and controlled by you; CookieCaddie does not automatically send your designs anywhere.

Third-Party Services

CookieCaddie does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or software development kits (SDKs) that collect data.

Children's Privacy

CookieCaddie is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data from anyone, regardless of age, there is no personal information collected from children to be concerned about.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes — for instance, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does involve data collection — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above before that feature ships.
